How to install the battery:
* Screw the top part of the bulb, and pull out the crystal body. Put one AAA battery in to the plastic tube. The negative electrode is down and positive electrode is up.
* Push the crystal body into the plastic tube, and screw it back, make it well locked.
* Push the clip into the bottom of the candle, make sure the clip fits well on the body, and it should be removable from different direction.
* Remove transparent film on the remote control, then you can control the candles on or off.
3 Functions:
A. Timer:
The led candle holds 6 hours Timing functions. A cycle of 6 hours. For example: Open it at 10am and it will automatically turn off at 4pm, and then it will turn on automatically at 10pm and off at next day 4am, Cycles Until the power source runs out.
B. Dimmable:
You Could Increase or Decrease the Brightness via “+” or “-” with the Remote.
C. MCU Control:
You Could Make the Candles Flicker Fast or Not via “SL” or “FL” with the Remote.

It works, no DOA and good value. I write few reviews, but feel this one was worth it. There’s so much China junk out there with items that don’t work, have some pieces missing or some items DOA. Took a flier on this item bc it had the timers, was led and had the connectors for a tree or a window all in one. I ordered two packages to put in the windows of my house and I was very pleasantly surprised. All of the lights have worked now for a week, the suction cups have not failed on a single and the remote and timer work well…
Good product except for the timer I am straying from the 5 stars due to the strange timer. I bought these as window decorations wanting them to go off and on at the same time every night. Someone wrote a comment about them being able to come on for 6 hours and off for 18 hours which seemed fine for my needs. However, I could not figure out how to do this so I wrote a question and got a response that quoted the directions online for 6 hours on and 6 hours off.
